Sibelius Strengthens Education Experience with Addition of Lee Whitmore
Education Technology Veteran Joins Sibelius as Director of Sales and Education Technology
Walnut Creek, CA, October 3, 2007 – Sibelius today announced the addition of Lee Whitmore to the Sibelius team as the Director of Sales and Education Technology. Dr. Whitmore, is an educator, musician, technologist, and author. He joins Sibelius having previously founded SoundTree, a division of Korg USA, where he managed a national sales division focused on providing music and audio solutions to K-12 schools and higher education. Lee regularly delivers keynotes and presentations on the integration of learning technologies in music instruction at conferences and on campuses throughout the United States. He is also an officer of the Technology Institute for Music Educators (TI:ME).
“Sibelius is deeply committed to creating great tools that help students learn, encourage creativity, and actively engage everyone in music making,” said Whitmore. “I’m looking forward to being a part of the Sibelius team, directly working with students, teachers and musicians across the country.”
Lee will be leading the sales team for the Americas and working with the Sibelius development teams to ensure that products meet real market needs as well as all technical and instructional requirements.
