547: Installing Sibelius Sounds products on Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard

Due to an incompatibility between the Vise installer technology and Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, you will need to download the installers for your Sibelius Sounds libraries.

You should also ensure that you have installed the update to Sibelius 5.2 before you proceed. Do Help > Check For Updates and check that you are told you are running the latest version of Sibelius.

To install the Sibelius Sounds libraries on Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard click the link below for the appropriate sound library you want to install and save the dmg file. When the download has completed, double-click the downloaded icon on your desktop and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

• Sibelius Sounds Essentials
  
• Sibelius Sounds Rock and Pop
  
• Sibelius Sounds World Music

IMPORTANT: Once the installation has completed insert the original installation DVD for the sound library you are installing and copy all nks or nkx files into the installation folder:

Sibelius Sounds Essentials:

• Go to Sibelius 5 DVD/Other Applications
  
• Copy both Sibelius Sounds Essentials_001.nkx and Sibelius Sounds Essentials_002.nkx files into /Applications/Sibelius Software/Sibelius Sounds/Essentials

Sibelius Sounds World Music:

• Copy the Sibelius Sounds World Music_001.nkx file into /Applications/Sibelius Software/Sibelius Sounds/World Music
  

Sibelius Sounds Rock and Pop:

• Copy both Sibelius_RockPop_Ext_1.nks and Sibelius_RockPop_Ext_2.nks files into /Applications/Sibelius Software/Sibelius Sounds/Rock and Pop
  

NOTE: Sibelius Sounds Choral does not need a new installer

If you are upgrading your old sound libraries from Sibelius 3 and 4 to work with Sibelius 5 on Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, please go to this page. These products include:
