PhotoScore Lite 4.1.2 for Windows and Mac
Note that if you have purchased PhotoScore Professional, you should check Neuratron's web site for details of an update to the latest version.
PhotoScore Lite is for use only with Sibelius 4. Upgrade to Sibelius 4.
Improvements and changes
PhotoScore Lite 4.1.2 is an updated version of PhotoScore Lite for use with Sibelius 4, adding a number of improvements over PhotoScore Lite 4.0, including:
- Fixed bug in MIDI playback where sometimes notes were not played
- Fixed bug where clefs and key signatures not placed correctly before first notes when there is more than one voice
- Fixed bug with red 'bad timing' lines being drawn when no timing error exists
- Improved algorithm further dealing with voices for better playback and 'bad timing' reporting
- To set number of lines in a stave before reading, select the stave and key the number 5 to 6
- Hold down Ctrl (Windows) or Command (Mac) when editing staves to stop PhotoScore automatically updating the number of lines.
- Processing/reading dialogs now no longer stay in front of all running applications (Windows only)
- PhotoScore now chooses TWAIN as the default scanning interface if WIA drivers cannot be found (scanner needs to be powered on and connected to computer for WIA drivers to become active) (Windows only)
- Fixed problem with some HP scanners and Automatic scanning interface (Windows only)
- Fixed problem where some users experienced text being read as digits when upgrading from PhotoScore 3 (Mac only)
- Added single rhythmic dot to F9 Keypad layout

Installing PhotoScore Lite 4.1.2 for Windows
Please follow these instructions carefully.
- Exit any programs which are running, including Sibelius (choose File > Exit).
- Don't uninstall your existing copy of PhotoScore Lite, if you have one - just leave it as it is.
- You will be asked whether or not to save NPSLiteSetup412.exe to disk: choose to save it on your Desktop.
- Once the download is complete, double-click NPSLiteSetup412 to install the update, and follow the on-screen instructions.
Installing PhotoScore Lite 4.1.2 for Mac
Please follow these instructions carefully.
- Exit any programs which are running, including PhotoScore Lite (choose File > Quit).
- Trash your existing PhotoScore Lite folder (inside Applications by default).
- Click here to start downloading the installer (4.7MB).
- When the download is complete, a volume called PhotoScore Lite 4.1.2 should be mounted on your desktop, and its window should open. If you don't see this volume or window, double-click the downloaded .dmg file to mount it.
- Double-click the Install PhotoScore Lite icon to install PhotoScore Lite, and follow the on-screen instructions.
